CVA-61 Ranger. Off the coast of California (SoCal Operations Zone) in the mid-70s. A reserve squadron of airdrops left to return home, using all 4 cats, launching a plane every minute (some faster). I'm pretty sure the top 4 were launched just 10 seconds apart. It was a great place to watch from the bridge. This was at least a while ago, but I'm sure they launched 12+ planes very, very quickly.
I have got to say, the prospect of growing up in America as a young fella now would be quite interesting if considering entering the navy, the thought of having all that extra electrical power on tap for kickass new weapons systems would be very compelling, being able to train with railguns, high energy lasers, electromagnetic flux compression generators, electrolasers, masers etc.
